Foshan Mount Xiqiaoshan National Geopark, Guangdong

This national geopark is located in Foshan, Guangdong. In March 2004, it was approved by the Ministry of Land and Resources as one of the third group of national geoparks. It features volcanic landscapes, including well-preserved ancient volcanic trachytic structures, lithofacies boundaries, unique volcanic gorges and multi-level waterfalls. It also has cultural landscapes and relics, such as quarry sites from the Ming Dynasty and stone tools of pre-historic humans.
