Fenghuang National Geopark, Hunan

This geopark is located in Fenghuang County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hunan Province. It lies in the southern part of the Wuling Mountains on the eastern edge of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. The park acquired the national geopark status in 2005. It features Palaeozoic carbonate rock gorges, peak forests, terraces, caves, waterfalls, stream springs, structural traces and other geological features, such as Tianxing Mountain, Sanmen Cave, Paoshui Canyon, Bagong Mountain, and Qiliang Cave.
