Environmental restoration refers to the principles of restoration ecology, which involve the use of artificial measures to interrupt outside forces to restore part or all of a damaged environmental system to its original function. Examples are the restoration of polluted or damaged natural areas, such as wetlands, scenic spots, residential, commercial and industrial sites, burned forests and abandoned mines. Environmental restoration technology and its effectiveness are important in protecting and restoring eco-tourism resources.
