EI is an indicator that reflects the status of the ecological environment in the assessed area, and it has a numerical range of 0–100. The formula is EI = 0.25 × biological abundance index + 0.2 × vegetation coverage index + 0.2 × water network density index + 0.2 × land degradation index + 0.15 × environmental quality index.
