Dinosaur Track Fossil

This refers to the dinosaur’s footprints in sedimentary rocks. These footprints are clues for studying the dinosaur’s type, size, limb forms and mode of motion. These fossils can be a single footprint or a series of continuous footprints (called tracks). Some track fossils are even accompanied by clear marks of their foot skin, and this type of mark is rare and precious (Fig. 18).
