Diluvial facies are a type of terrestrial facies. Due to the effects of rain and snow in highland areas, weathered materials from the bedrock accumulate on slopes due to gravity. Diluvial facies mainly comprise glutenite and siltstone. The clastic material is poorly sorted and appears angular in form, often with bedding parallel to the slope.
