Dilali Flower

This is a typical early angiosperm flower fossil. It was discovered in 2007. The fossil has a typical flower structure and style, including pedicels, petals, stamens and pistils. This flower fossil was found in the Yixian Formation in Huangbanji Grove in Shangyuan Town, Beipiao, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province. Fossil experts believe that this fossil was a flower that bloomed brilliantly 125 million years ago in Chaoyang and that it was the earliest typical angiosperm flower (Fig. 15).
