The distribution and interaction between heat and moisture can vary significantly because of the seasons or due to the impacts of large mountains and plateaus. The climates in different geographical regions with the same climate zone can be different. Therefore, climates can be divided into several types: (1) tropical climates, including tropical rainforest climate, savanna climate, tropical desert arid and semi-arid climates, and tropical monsoon climate; (2) subtropical climates, including subtropical monsoon, humid subtropical, Mediterranean, subtropical desert arid, and subtropical grassland climates; (3) temperate climates, including temperate marine, temperate continental, temperate monsoon, temperate broadleaf forest, temperate grassland semi-arid, temperate desert arid, and cold temperate coniferous forest climates; (4) cold climates, including polar tundra and polar ice climates; (5) alpine climates, including alpine plateau climate; and (6) polar climates, including the...
