Anze Chen and Jianjun Jiang were the chief editors of the China National Geopark Series, which was published by the Chinese Map Society from 2004 to 2007. Each volume describes the geopark(s) of each county. The first series introduces geoparks such as Lushan, Huangshan, Wudalianchi, Zhangjiajie, Songshan, Xingwen, Dajin Lake of Taining and Hexigten. The formation and development of the geology and geomorphology of each geopark are described in detail with pictures. The series also describes the scenery along the tour routes, allowing visitors to increase their understanding of the earth science, history and culture of various attractions. It also provides an overview of the scenic sites around the geopark as well as information about services such as food, accommodations, transportation, shopping, and entertainment. It has practical value for self-guided tours.
