Ziyuan National Geopark, Guangxi

This geopark is located in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and covers an area of 729 km2. Its northwestern border is close to Xinning County in Hunan Province, and it is characterised by the Danxia landform that highlights the main peak of the mountain. It became a national geopark in 2002. Bajiao Zhai is the main peak, which is a square mesa with an elevation of 814 m and a relative height of 400 m. The eastern, western and northern sides are smooth cliffs. There are also similar attractions in Tianji, Longji, Fengfanshi, Zixinda, Life and Death Valley and the Huangsha River Valley.
