This is a canyon-style underground river cave landscape. Located along the lower course of the Long (Dragon) River in Fengdu County, Chongqing City, the main cave of Xueyu Cave is a canyon-style underground river cave with a total length of 1,644 m. Inside the cave, secondary chemical sediments are rich and pure. The sediment is as white as snow, from which the cave gets its name. The associated stalactites are varied, and most are still growing and developing. Characteristic sediments include large pieces of soda straws, jade palms (stalagmites), tower corals, curlstones, stone shields, calcium film crystal cones and roof lotus, which are rare both in China and abroad. There are 4-m-high ground shields, large tower coral groups, 8-m-long king stones and dense soda straw groups, all of which can be regarded as exquisite features of the karst cave landform (Fig. 9).
