Wild Plant Protection Regulations

These regulations were promulgated by Order No. 204 of the State Council in 1996 and came into force on 1 January 1997. They are listed clearly in five chapters: Chapter I, General Provisions; Chapter II, Wild Plant Protection; Chapter III, Wild Plant Management; Chapter IV, Legal Liability; and Chapter V, Supplementary Provisions. Under these regulations, protected wild plants are classified as first-class and second-class protected wild plants, and nature reserves are set up to protect these wild plant species.
