Volcanic Sharp Peak Landscape

This is a landscape of sharp peaks composed of volcanic rocks. In his book ‘A Note on Travel in Yangdang Mountain’, Xu Xiake adopted the term ‘sharp peak’. Guanyin Peak in Yandangshan is an example of this landform. Sharp volcanic peaks are formed by several volcanic eruptions, after which the weathering and collapse of the rocks results in a sharp volcanic peak landform (Fig. 17).
