This book was written by Zongzheng Xiao and Guangzhen Cui et al. and was published by Geological Press in 1990. The content includes 44 scenes and geological landscapes in Beijing, such as Fangshan, Fengtai, Mentougou, Shijingshan, Haidian, Yanqing, Changping, Miyun, Huairou, and Pinggu. It describes the geological formations and evolution patterns of these landscapes in detail. It is extra-curricular reading for young students that tour Beijing landscapes and reflects the contributions of geologists in serving tourism earth science. Renzhi Hou (1911–2013), a famous historical geographer and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, wrote the preface.
