These are unique landscapes in the upper courses of rivers in highland regions with steep slopes and torrential water flows. This type of landscape provides ideal places for adventures and rafting. Examples are Taiwan’s Hsiukuluan River, Dajiexi in Hehuanshan and the Maling River in Guizhou Province.
