This park is located on the southern side of the Shizuishan Industrial Park and the northern side of the Huinong District, Ningxia Province. It is administered by the Huinong District, Shizuishan City, and its built-up area covers 17.7 km2. It was designated as a national mining park in 2010. Dominated by subsidence landforms, the Huinong Scenic Area has typical geological disaster features and preserves stratigraphic sections, ground fissures, hypergolic gangue, abandoned coalers and remnants of mining life. Consisting of Qishishan Mountain, Gangue Mountain and Xinghai Lake, the Dawukou Scenic Area has been transformed from areas of gangue and fly ash accumulation in a former coal washery and power plant in Shizuishan City. It contains typical mining production heritage.
