Shizhuyuan Tungsten (Tin, Bismuth and Molybdenum) Deposit, Chenzhou, Hunan

This is a world-class high-temperature hydrothermal polymetallic deposit. Located in Chenzhou County, Hunan Province, the Shizhuyuan tungsten (tin, bismuth and molybdenum) deposit is located along the contact zone between the Yanshanian Qilianshan bimicaceous granite and the muddy limestone of the Upper Devonian Shetianqiao Formation. The deposit includes four ore bodies; from the bottom to the top, it comprises a marble-type tin ore body, a skarn-type tungsten-bismuth ore body, a quartz/mica skarn-type tungsten-molybdenum-bismuth ore body, and a quartz/mica-type-tungsten-molybdenum-bismuth-tin ore body in a vein network. The main minerals are tungsten, molybdenum and bismuth. Its enormous tungsten, bismuth and fluorite reserves are the largest in the world. Mining began no later than the Qianlong years of the Qing Dynasty.
