Shaoguan Furongshan National Mining Park, Guangdong

This park is located in Shaoguan, Guangdong Province, next to downtown Shaoguan. It covers a total area of 21.70 km2 and became a national mining park in 2005. The park preserves coal and limestone mining remains as well as numerous geological relics and cultural landscapes. It has three main scenic areas, including a theme sculpture square, landscape sketch scenic area and mine park museum, as well as several scenic sites, such as Furong Mountain and Ancient Temple, weather station, Lotus Park, Magnolia Park, Lotus Cave and Lotus Lake. It is a comprehensive national mine park that integrates geological hazard management, ecological environment protection, mining culture and leisure and sightseeing.
