Happy place means the land of blessing, which implies that anyone living in such a place is blessed and can become immortal. The happy places listed in the Taoist books mainly imply fairylands controlled by immortals, and these places are second behind the big caves. The seventy-two happy places listed below come from the book ‘Map of Heaven and Earth Palaces’ by the Taoist Sima Chengzhen of the Tang Dynasty:
