Recreation includes sightseeing and resting either in individual or group activities during free time. Recreation includes three aspects. In terms of industry, recreation is tourism in a broad sense. Geographically, recreation is one of the basic functions of cities (including urban areas, suburbs and outskirts) and can be differentiated from leisure activities, as it is more organized. From the view of behavioural psychology, recreation is a combination of material and cultural pursuits. Recreation processes produce, consume and accumulate energy; thus, a recreational system is a system for storing and producing urban social energy. Because it is also a process used to gain energy, it enables people to become more energized, knowledgeable and healthy in conducting their productive and creative activities to facilitate the material and cultural progress of society.
