This geopark is located in Qijiang County, Chongqing Municipality, and has an area of 108 km2. It became a national geopark in 2009. Its main geological features include fossils, red beds, sedimentary structures and waterscapes. Numerous well-preserved petrified wood from conifers are concentrated in several places. Dinosaur footprints as well as impressions of skins and hair are well preserved. The red beds in the park are mainly composed of Jurassic and Cretaceous red gravels.
