This is a spring landscape consisting of a group of springs on a sloping erosional structure. It is located in Niangziguan Town in Pingding County, Shanxi Province. The group comprises 32 springs at elevations of 372–392 m. The springs originate in Ordovician limestone and are sloping erosion structure springs. The average flow rate has been 12.04 m3/s for many years. It is the largest spring in northern China. It is a typical stable, large spring because it has a large area, good aquifer capacity, and stable discharge volume (Fig. 5).
