The Earth’s surface is composed of integrated and closely linked natural geographies, which are called natural geographical complexes. Natural complexes can be classified according to type-level sequences, or they can be merged hierarchically from lower-level units. Their horizontal extent and vertical thickness can also be expanded step by step. A tourist area is often a part of a natural complex.
