The biosphere is the surface layer of the biological components of Earth and its living environment. It is the largest ecosystem on the planet and comprises the lower stratosphere, the entire troposphere, the lithosphere and the hydrosphere. It represents a unique space for the interactions between different regions as well as the development and survival of human beings.
