Nanhuaan Period

The Nanhuaan Period is the second period of the Neoproterozoic Era in China. It covered the interval from 800 million to 680 million years ago, a duration of 120 million years, and is equivalent to the international Neoproterozoic Cryogenian Period. The Nanhuaan System includes the rocks that formed during the Nanhuaan Period. The standard section of the system is located around Yangjiaping in Shimen, Yangtze area, Hunan Province.
