This park is located in the borderland of northwestern India near Nepal and Tibet, and it now covers an area of 717.83 km2 after being extended in 2005. Nestled high in the western Himalaya, India’s Valley of Flowers National Park is renowned for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and outstanding natural beauty. This diverse area is also home to rare and endangered animals, including the Asiatic black bear, snow leopard, brown bear and blue sheep.
