This geopark is located in Changdao County in Shandong Province. The Changdao Islands consist of 32 islands that trend NNE. They form the natural boundary between the Bohai Sea and the Huanghai Sea, and they acquired national geopark status in 2005. The geological features include islands, marine erosional and depositional landforms, geological structures, volcanic landscapes, collapse landscapes, human fossils, and biodiversity.
