Low Swamp Landscape

This is a type of swamp landscape that is also known as a eutrophic swamp. They mainly develop in flats and low depressions, basins or floodplains with the continuous replenishment of surface water and groundwater. The peat content is generally 18%, and there are eutrophic plants such as Carex and reeds. In China, low swamps are mainly sedge swamps, grass swamps and mixed swamps. Low swamps are common in the Sanjiang Plain and Ruoergai Plateau in China.
