Loess Hanging Valley Landscape

This is a loess erosion landscape consisting of steep semi-cylindrical gullies that hang on loess slopes. When surface runoff on loess yuan and liang converges at the edge of a steep slope, the rapid downhill flow erodes the slope surface and forms loess hanging valleys (Fig. 38).
