Loess Fissure Landscape

This is a landscape consisting of surface fissures in loess regions. These fissures can be related to diagenesis cracks, tectonic cracks or stress-release cracks. Vertical joints in loess areas tend to develop into diagenetic fissures, which are often the causes of landslides and land collapses (Fig. 32).
