The term location comes from the German ‘standort’, which means a location or venue. In general, location refers to the position of a thing or item or its spatial relationship with other things or items. The extended location theory is one of the core theories of economic geography. Location analysis of tourism sites is an important scientific basis for tourism planning and site and destination development.
