Lincheng National Geopark, Hebei
Lincheng National Geopark is located in Lincheng County in Xietai City, southwestern Hebei Province, along the eastern border of Taihang County. It covers an area of 54 km2, and it became a national geopark in 2005. The western parts of the geopark are mainly moderate and low mountains. The elevations are above 500 m, and the highest peak is 1,508 m tall. The middle part of the park is a low and flat hilly platform with the central Hebei Plain to the east. The geopark is mainly composed of the karst cave called White Cloud Cave on Mount Kong, which formed in Cambrian limestone. Other attractions include Tiantai Mountain, which is composed of Proterozoic quartz sandstone.
