Lava Cascade Landscape

Reference work entry
DOI: https://doi.org/10.1007/978-981-13-2538-0_1370
This is a lava flow landscape resembling a waterfall. As lava flows on the ground surface, the lava can meet steep humps and cools. The solidified downward flow looks like a cascade. Examples are China’s Wudalianchi in Heilongjiang Province and the Hawaii Lava Cascade in the United States (Figs. 11 and 12).
