Kakadu National Park, Australia
This park is located along the coast of Northern Australia adjacent to Van Diemen Gulf. It was expanded in 1987 and 1992, and the total area is 19,804 km2. It is a unique area of archaeological and ethnological protection that has been the home of indigenous people for more than 40,000 years. Cave paintings, rock carvings and archaeological artefacts record the lifestyles of the prehistoric hunter-gatherers.
