Kahuzi-Biega National Park is located along the border between North Kivu Province and South Kivu Province in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. It has a core protection area of 6,000 km2. It has a vast area of primary tropical forest dominated by two spectacular extinct volcanoes, Kahuzi and Biega. The park has diverse and abundant fauna.
