This is a landscape of erosional tiankeng (sinkhole) clusters. This landform is located in Houping Village in Wulong County, Chongqing City, and it is a part of the Wulong World Heritage Site. The lithology structure is binary. Sandy shale is widely distributed at the surface, and it overlies thick Cambrian and Lower Ordovician limestone. This karst hydrological and geomorphological system consists of sinkholes, shafts, avens, ground seam-type blind valleys, large fossil caves, subterranean rivers and karst springs. The Jingkou sinkhole cluster is composed of five sinkholes: the Jingkou sinkhole, Shiwang sinkhole, Daluodang sinkhole, Tianpingmiao sinkhole and Niubidong sinkhole. The Jingkou sinkhole has a diameter of 250 m and a depth of approximately 300 m. Of the 75 sinkholes found around the world, only the Jingkou sinkhole is an erosional-type, whereas the others are collapse-type (Fig. 9).
