This park is located 8 km north of Baishan City, Jilin Province. The Jilin Baishan Slate National Mining Park was one of the first group of mining parks approved by the Ministry of Land and Resources in 2005. The park has six scenic areas: the beneficiation area, tailings pond, Shangqing, Bangchui, Xizhenzhumen (Western Pearl Gate area) and Kucanggou. Featuring geology, landforms and mining development, it is a comprehensive scenic park that includes karst and fault scarp landforms, Songhua stone landforms, slate, structural geology and the iron ore extraction process.
