Jiangning Tangshan Fangshan National Geopark is located in Jiangning District, Nanjing City. It became a national geopark in 2009. The main attractions of the geopark are the Tangshan ape-man cave, the geological section, the hot springs and the Neogene volcanoes. Nanking Man fossils were discovered in the karst cave, and the mammal oryctocoenose was found in the Tangshan Karst Cave. This geopark is also called a geological corridor because of the exposures of Ordovician, Silurian, Devonian, Carboniferous, Permian and Triassic rocks. The Neogene shield volcano and the Tangshan Hot Spring also make the geopark unique.
