This park is located in the Pacific coastal province of Ancash in central Peru. It consists of the antiquities of a world cultural heritage site and protects an area of 3,400 km2. Mount Huascarán, which is in the world’s highest tropical mountain range, the South American Cordillera, rises to 6,768 m above sea level. The park is also home to such species as the spectacled bear and the Andean condor.
