Huangshan Stone

This is a type of rock with ornamental value produced in the Huangshan area. Mount Huangshan stone can be divided into water-washed stones and mountain stones (dry stones). The varieties that have been mined are the yellow wax stones, pearl stones, Machuan stones and drum nail stones, all of which are water-washed stones. Yellow wax stones and pearl stones can be either water stones or dry stones. Some have very high ornamental value (Fig. 27).
