Professional Development of Female Teachers in Chinese Universities

Introduction

According to statistics released by the ministry of education in 2017, the total number of full-time teachers in China’s undergraduate institutions has reached 1,633,248, among whom 49.83% are female teachers (Ministry of education of the People’s Republic of China: 2017 education statistical data (number of female educational personnel and full-time teachers of schools by type and level, http://www.moe.edu.cn/s78/A03/moe_560/jytjsj_2017/qg/201808/t20180808_344693.html).
