×Orthotanthus L. E. Smith (J. Bromeliad Soc. 38(2): 75, 1983). — Distr: Cultivated only.

= Orthophytum × Cryptanthus. Smith (1983) lists the cultivar ‘What’ with the parentage O. saxicola var. rubra × Cryptanthus ‘It’, and Giroux (2009) described the cultivar ‘Blazing Bonsai’ with the parentage O. navioides (now classified as Sincoraea) × C. microglazioui.
