During computerized posturography, balance is challenged with visual and support surface stimuli. The response to these challenges can assist in identifying the pathway that is dysfunctional. During static posturography, the subject stands in the upright posture on a force plate. Sensors on the plate and subject record small changes in position which are then downloaded to a computer.
