Description

The Halstead-Reitan Neuropsychological Test Battery (HRNB; Reitan and Wolfson 1993) is the most commonly used fixed battery approach to clinical neuropsychological assessment. The battery consists of the following core tests: Category Test, Tactual Performance Test, Seashore Rhythm Test, Speech-Sounds Perception Test, Trail Making Test Parts A and B, Finger-Tapping Test, Strength of Grip, Reitan-Indiana Aphasia Screening Test, Reitan-Kløve Sensory Perceptual Examination, and the Lateral Dominance Examination. These core tests are typically supplemented with the Wechsler intelligence scales and often times with measures of personality. Other tests are also sometimes administered to supplement the assessment of academic achievement and memory ability.
