Membership

The National Rehabilitation Information Center (NARIC) is not a membership organization but rather serves the staff of the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) of the Administration for Community Living and its grantees and contractors and affiliated agencies. In addition, NARIC provides document delivery and information services to researchers, healthcare providers, administrators, educators, and consumers.

Major Areas or Mission Statement

NARIC is a library and information center focusing on disability and rehabilitation research. As the library for the NIDILRR, NARIC’s mission is to collect, catalog, and disseminate the results of research produced by NIDILRR grantees and contractors, as well as the larger universe of disability and rehabilitation research.

Begun in 1977, the NARIC collection spans more than 50 years and contains more than 80,000 documents ranging from peer-reviewed journal...
