Training in the Brief Strategic Family Therapy® (BSFT®) model is conducted by the BSFT Institute at community agencies across the United States and abroad only in the context of a full service implementation model which includes the BSFT clinical as well as organizational intervention. Both interventions are required for adherence to the model, successful treatment outcomes, and long-term sustainability of the BSFT program.
Introduction
The implementation of the BSFT model consists of two distinct interventions: a clinical intervention for families and an organizational intervention for community agencies. For the clinical intervention, BSFT therapists receive initial training in three BSFT workshops followed by a booster workshop every year.
