Dr. Kristina Coop Gordon is a clinical psychologist and professor. She completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology at Wake Forest University (1991) and received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology in 1999 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her primary mentor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was Dr. Don Baucom. As part of her Ph.D. program, she completed her clinical internship at Brown University.

Dr. Gordon is currently a professor and the director of clinical training (DCT) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She began this position in 1999 and was promoted to DCT in 2016. During this time, her research and scholarship have focused primarily on new approaches and interventions to improve outcomes for couples. She has made seminal contributions to the field in treating infidelity.
