Introduction
Mudita Rastogi is professor, couple and family therapist, author, presenter, and mentor in the field of couple and family therapy and psychology. She has worked in both India and the United States to further training, multicultural dialog, scholarship, and practice. Rastogi has served on the editorial boards of seven major family and couple therapy journals, edited two books, and authored numerous book chapters and journal articles. Her major areas of interest include gender, culture, and South Asian families.
Career
Rastogi received her Ph.D. in marriage and family therapy from Texas Tech University in 1995. Her doctoral dissertation was titled Adult Daughters’ Perception of The Mother-Daughter Relationship: A Cross Cultural Comparison. She served as assistant professor at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology (ISPP) in Chicago Illinois and then as associate professor (1995–2005).
