Introduction
Dr. David Olson is Professor Emeritus of the Family Social Science Program at the University of Minnesota. He is most known for developing the Circumplex Model of Marital and Family Systems as well as several couple and family assessment measures and programs including the Family Adaptability and Cohesion Scales (FACES) and PREPARE/ENRICH Program.
Career
Dr. Olson obtained his bachelor’s degree from St. Olaf College and completed his doctoral training at Pennsylvania State University. He has notable achievements, awards, and honors including the Distinguished Contribution to Family Therapy and Research from both the American Association for Marital and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the American Family Therapy Association (AFTA). He also has a distinguished alumni award from Pennsylvania State University.
