Introduction
The inner ear is responsible for the analysis of sound, since it contains the cochlea, the most significant structure of the inner ear responsible for the analysis of sound. The inner part of the ear contains the vestibular system responsible for balance and movement.
The Physiology of the Inner Ear
The physiology of the inner ear is consisted of the cochlea and the balance system (the vestibular system). It is notable that the human cochlea and the cochlea of other mammals were firstly discovered in 1561 (von Bekesy 1948) and resonance, as the foundation of the perception of sounds, was proposed by Duverney in 1683 (Mudry 2000) after observing the phenomenon of the resonance of two strings in tune with each other in the musical instrument Piano during the seventeenth century (von Bekesy 1948).
